1. Icemaker Bar. Lift the bar to shut off the icemaker,
especially if the refrigerator is left running, and the house water supply
is shut off |
2. Inspect your washer fill hoses. Look for soft spots
or bubbles,
especially near the ends of the hoses.
Change them every 5 years, or if any bad spots are found. |

3. Lubricate and clean. Use a spray lubricant such
as WD-40 to coat all
hinges and latches of your
washer, dryer, range, refrigerator, dishwasher. |
4. Prepare your garbage disposer. A cup full of cooking oil
with a little
lemon juice mixed in, poured
into the disposer as the very last thing done when leaving, will coat and
protect the internal parts of the unit, leaving it fresher smelling for
your return! |
